He Has Shown Me Such Beauty

My girls are doing a lot better job at this blogging than I am. I just wanted to share one of our afternoons with Britney and Cari and tell you what a wonderful man I am married to. First about my man.... The title refers to Gary and the fact that I can run through a field of flowers and just be enjoying the time with whomever I am with. Gary on the other hand has always loved the nature God created and thanked him, as we all should, for the beauty set before us. He amazes me how he will notice the smallest thing and makes it a point to share it with me. There is a joke in our family about my "morning attitude" and how the birds outside my window scream instead of sing until I have had my coffee. He has taught this special attention to detail to all three of the girls, but Cari is the one who shares it the most. She loves looking at trees, flowers, birds, bugs, you name it. I just think it is amazing that a man who is so intelligent and gifted is amazed by a little bird. Sorry if I messed up your macho image honey. I love you.

We have been "unpacking" and getting things set in our house so many days in a row that we took a break and went to John Tanner State Park. It was supposed to be about 28 miles away but we decided to take back roads and just look at our area. We really enjoyed the trip. It was nice to just lay on a raft or swim in the lake. I must admit I did miss the sound of the waves and the white sand. But it was so wonderful...the only thing that could have made it better was to have more of our family there with us.
